We are returning in January to stay at our TS LaVista. Friends are thinking of coming down as well and have several choices of villas/condos in these areas: Terre Basses, Porto Cupecoy or Oyster Pond. I am very familiar with the first two areas, but not so much with Oyster Pond. Obviously the first two areas are much closer to us at LaVista than Oyster Pond. Did the Oyster Pond area suffer alot of damage from Irma and if so, is it back up and running again? All info appreciated. Thank you.

Oyster Pond had a lot of damage, yes. The Westin is still closed. Captain Oliver's, closed, and involved in that whole border situation. Mr. Busby's, blown away by Irma. If I were going to recommend an area to stay in that has lots of restaurants close, I would vote for Porto Cupecoy, from your choices.
