Hi. Has anyone had experience with the Miami Airport Hotel which is in the AA terminal? Just booked our December trip(Albany NY$1571 RT for 2,12/1-12/8)and we will have an overnight in Miami on our return. The since our flight the next day is very early I thought this hotel would be so convenient but the reviews are all over the place. Some reviewers equate the Hotel to a garbage can and others said it is spotless and loved it. Usually I can sort my way through these reviews but I'm hesitant. Has anyone stayed there? Many thanks. PS - choking on the airfare but it hasn't budged in a month.

Stayed there several times. Rooms are on the small side and simply furnished - nothing fancy but clean.
We find it very convenient, especially if you are arriving late in the day and/or have an early flight the next day. Hotel is located just a few steps from TSA checkpoint for Terminal E.

The Sheraton and the Mariott I have used. Both had free airport shuttles at the time.
I don't know about the Miami Airport Hotel but sounds very convenient.

Have stayed at MIA Hotel many times. Rooms are small but clean. Hotel was renovated relatively recently. Cannot beat the convenience for early morning flight.
Two weeks ago, we stayed at Miami Airport Hilton Blue Lagoon Hotel for two days prior to a cruise. Very nice but unlike MIA Hotel requires a shuttle to and from the airport.

I have stayed there many times. A few years ago, I was given a HUGE room on the top floor, which at the time was priced the same as the handkerchief-sized rooms. I requested it again the next year, and it was a little more expensive. Now their website shows seven different types of rooms with, I assume, varying prices. It is very convenient and has always been clean when I've been there.

Havent stayed there but would if I could afford and had a view of airplanes.
Have stayed at Staybridge Doral. Low stress solution for us to/from SXM and before/after cruises.
Free Airport Shuttle and Millers Ale House Restaurant in parking lot for good food and drink. Shuttle to Walmart which was good for pre-cruise purchases.

We regularly stay there before flying to the islands (STT in our case). My wife is handicapped, and a huge advantage for us is that the airport wheelchair service picks her up at the room and takes her all the way through to the gate. The hotel valet will also take the luggage to the checkout counter.

Also when you need to leave room you ask for a porter and he will wheel your luggage to TSA and fast track you through check in. For a tip of course.

I have used it in the past, and been satisfied but not thrilled. I liked it better when the rooftop pool was in operation, where I used to kill time on my way to see a client in Curaco.

Like others, have stayed there several times. Clean rooms, and VERY quiet and can't beat the convenience factor. Goes against the norm usually- but I'd suggest when asked at the check-in counter to get a room close to the elevators. It can be a haul if you dont.
