This will be my 8th visit to the BVI and 3rd bareboat but I've never been to Scrub Island. My itinerary on day 2 will be leave Willy T./Norman and stop at the Baths before overnighting at Leverick. If I leave Norman around 10-11am, just being reasonable after the first night at the Willy T., will I have time to hit the Baths by boat (mooring balls) and head over to Scrub to try out the pool? Scrub first? Skip it altogether? I will try for an earlier start but can't promise anything! Don't care about getting into Leverick later except for maybe a run up to Hog Heaven. I would skip the Baths but most of my crew have never been so I feel obligated to go there. Are there mooring balls around Scrub or marina only? Is there a rate for just a couple of hours? First time on the Mooring's 514pc so I'd rather not dock it in a slip if I don't have to unless it's pretty empty. I will be there October 18-27 so don't figure on anything being busy that time of year.

You may have to pay a resort fee to use Scrub’s pool. If you just want to hike the island, you can anchor at Marina Cay, dinghy to Scrub and tie up to their dinghy dock. Or just go to the Dogs and then on to Leverick.

I think I read you're planning Norman->Baths->Scrub->Leverick all in the same day. I wouldn't bother with Scrub for a day stop. It's a nice place but if you're going to bother going, I'd spend the night. Leverick has a pool if that's what you're looking for.

What about skipping the mooring at Baths, head straight to Scrub/Marina Cay and dock/grab a ball to dinghy over. Checkout the pool for an hour or two, head to Leverick and taxi to the Baths? And back to Hog Heaven?

I think skipping the mooring ball at the Baths and renting a safari truck for baths and Hog Heaven is my plan B. I only put Scrub on my list because I see it mentioned on the board so much. I'm definitely not going if there is a fee involved just to hang out in a pool for an hour or two. I saw mooring balls on google earth in the cut near Marina Cay but I didn't know if they were in good shape since Irma.

I would skip mooring ball at Baths go straight to Leverick, take taxi to Baths at 300 or so and then go to Coco Loco for dinner and sunset right next to Baths

we have stayed at Scrub multiple times and great resort but you can always go to a resort...and docking can be tough with 514PC

There were many boats on those balls when we were there in May this year. They seemed pretty functional and maintained from what I could tell

AFAIK, those balls belong to Marina Cay and are maintained. MC will collect their fee to use them. There are two dive boat balls on Diamond Reef, and some private balls near Camanoe.
