Related question: Is there a list of what locations generally stay open or closed during off season? Or what dates most places tend to be closed? I’ve considered the idea of an off season trip but would be bummed if we didn’t get to visit some of our favorite spots because they’d be closed.

Wonky Dog will be closed from 14th August till October 1st Peter - would you expect the dates to be roughly the same in 2020? Thanks, Rick

We love sailing in September. The beach bar and downstairs restaurant at Leverick Bay are usually open with a well attended pizza night on Thursdays. One year we sailed from North Sound to Cruz Bay, St. John and saw one boat out in the Drake Channel all day. We also had the anchorage at Great Harbor JVD to ourselves one night. It was a lot of fun. That was not 2017.
Cheers, RickG

I know that Wonky Dog and Cow Wreck are closed in September, anyone know if Potter’s is open? I’d make the trip to Anegada to eat lobster and hang out with Sam after.

If Sam is leaving, that would cut out one of the big reasons to hit Anegada, given that Cow Wreck is closed. However, a day snorkeling at Flash of Beauty, with some cold ones thrown in weighs in favor. I’ve got some Memphis gifts for Sam— I’m sure they’d hold them for him, or I could just save them for June.

When do the restaurants that close for off-season typically reopen? Middle end of October?

We are also headed down September for a couple weeks, wanting to avoid crowds & cruise ships, Willy T’s will be closed?💔 that one hurts. Anyone know if the Bite will be open? Any other suggestions for September bar hopping? We are staying on White Bay, JVD & confirmed Soggy, Sydney’s & Ivan is open so far...🤔🤞🏻

We keep a huge cooler on the boat anyway, but finding out that the Willy T was going to be closed hurt. But we’re planning more beach days-I’m finally gonna get to spend the day in Savannah Bay, and the boat has a generator and a blender, so all is not lost 😀
