Hey everyone. Heading out to JVD today. Thinking of little harbor for something a bit laid back at night but want to visit Soggy and Foxys for a painkiller and a tee shirt during the day. Taxi easy to come by in little harbor? Dinner suggestions?

Thanks

Enjoy! Always a fun day on Jost. You have three choice in Little Harbour, Abe’s, Sydney’s, and Harris’s. Our personal favorite is Abe’s! Eunice’s coleslaw that comes with the lobster can’t be beat. In addition, their laid back, friendly atmosphere is so welcoming.

A few pictures of our dinner on a recent visit.

Abe has a taxi. Make arrangements with him ahead of time.

I'll second Abe's. Had a great dinner there in July of last year. They were the only ones open at that time and were still rebuilding their restaurant. We ordered full lobster dinners which, if it hadn't been for my son, who I think ate about 2 1/2 of them, there would have been some leftovers for sure. Next time we'll order 1/2 lobsters, with the likely exception of my son.

I have a special place in my heart for Sydney’s. Had our wedding reception there Aug 1, 1980. Been back every Aug. 1 since except the past two years. But we ALWAYS eat our lobster dinner at Abe’s .

We need to get you back calsail! If you are ready for a land based vacation our Villa is just over the hill past Abe’s.

Before getting taxi, verify that what the rate is (set by government ?). I believe from Foxxy's Taboo to Great Harbor, it is $10 per person, each way.

One driver, who made all 8 of us very nervous, overcharged us by $2 per person ($16 one way). After dinner, I found another taxi which did not try to overcharge us AND much more cautious.

BTW, this is probably only time a BVI Taxi driver has overcharged me and my groups (18 weeks in year past 3 years). Most are friendly and courtesous.
