I see Cash & Carry is same company as Riteway. Does anyone know how much cheaper than Riteway? Is it worth doing the bulk purchasing at CC vs doing provisioning of beer/soda with Tico? How much cheaper? Saving a couple dollars for a 24pack?
Thanks for your help Jane

Cash & Carry has the same pricing as Riteway now. The difference is the packaging sizes available at C&C offer larger sizes of some items. The beer and soda don't seem much cheaper at Tico so I'm not sure I'd bother. Sometimes the liquor prices are cheaper at Tico but depending on what you want, you may also have to order from Caribbean Cellars as they carry different liquor, wine, and beer brands with no overlap.

We did both this year (May). Found some stuff cheaper in bulk in the C&C. Some stuff just the same. But nothing was more expensive.
Also...Some stuff only exists in one or the other!
Next year, we will do both again. Slabs of tonic water, beer, cider etc all better value in the C&C. Also some good deals on snacks etc.
Our advice...start in the C&C tick off as much of your list as you can and then mop up whatever you can't find in the riteway.
Chartering with Sunsail we get as much as we can through their provisioning system, so it's on the boat when we arrive. Water, rum, coconut cream etc. Sometimes it's more expensive, sometimes less..but after a 28hr journey, coming from cold to hot climate, plus jetlag...honestly who cares about a few bucks here or there!

Beer is vastly different in price from TICO RTW & Caribbean Cellar , who ever holds the import licence for each one has the lowest prices by as much as $10 a case, same goes for Spirits and Wines.
But in the end why run about all the different places taking up a day to save $100 if that?

I agree Christo, if you are chartering with the Moorings or Sunsail use the online provisioning service. It’s so nice to arrive on the boat with all the provisions already boarded. My wife says the prices average out almost the same as other options. Last trip we did a evening start and we were off the dock at 9:30. The boat next to us was still waiting for their 8AM provision delivery from Bobby’s. You can walk to Tico’s and Riteway for any extras or items you prefer not to order online. G

Where is the cash and carry in regards to Riteway? We had our things delivered last time since we were getting in late in May but coming over on the early ferry in November and will have plenty of time to shop.

But I don't think that small quantities are available.
