The early part of the day was almost a carbon copy of the others. Coffee and reading outside enjoying the sun sights and sounds of a Villa on the Beach. But, instead of breakfast out, we had breakfast here.
We did take a ride to Phillipsburg while there were no ships in only to discover everyone else must have had a similar idea. There was no place close to park and as we are getting older walking from the Salt Pond to Front Street isn’t nearly as necessary as it once seemed.
So once again back to BSV for some pool, cocktails and snacks. Yesterday was still windy and rough. The forecast is for the winds to let up this morning and so far no white caps and certainly less windy.
For dinner last night we went to Vesna Taverna and really enjoyed it. The food was great and the service was as well. Had an enjoyable time talking with the owner, who’s name escapes me at the moment. Apps were Escargot, Crab Cakes and Calamari. Dinner was Duck, Beef Bourguigno and Lamb Shank. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we thought the Lamb Shank was out of this World. Can’t figure out how we have missed out on Vesna before. If you get the chance, don’t miss it.
Happy Saturday everyone.

The owners name is Vesna, but I believe she may be off island at the moment. It is certainly a gem, glad you enjoyed it.

For the amount of time that we want to spend anymore, I find that it's worth the couple of bucks to park at the Greenhouse. We've never been to Vesna Taverna either. Guess we should check it out sometime. Continue to enjoy your stay!

Yes, we always park at Bobby's Marina and walk to Front Street. It's worth $3 or so.

Thanks for the daily updates. As we wait with great anticipation for our Fall trip, Vesna Taverna is on our list to try.

Bobby's Marina for us too. I can't walk far or fast and I manage with a few stops along the way.

I said the Greenhouse, but I guess maybe it is more properly Bobby's Marina.

Thank you for that info about Bobby’s. Didn’t know it was a possibility! Will keep that in mind!
