Trying to call Delta, can't figure out how to dial an 800 number. Is it call 1 900?? That doesn't seem to work either, although I'm not getting a good signal.

Problem is that we are on separate reservations and have been re-booked on different flights.. And we have frequent flyer tickets, so sometimes beggers can't be choosers.

You mean that you and Eric have separate reservations and bookings? If so in the future you can join your separate reservations into one either on line or by phone when you make them.

Scuba, I know you can ‘link’ the reservations on AA but not all carriers will do this. We had a similar situation on JB last trip and they said their system doesn’t allow the link. My concern was the same thing Carol’s dealing with might happen to us but thankfully. It didn’t.

I thought Delta linked reservations. I know that AA and Alaska does as I have done that many times with couples traveling with us on separate locator numbers.

We have had an experience when we have been out of country and trying to call home or 1-800 number and were not able to dial properly because we didn’t know how from where we are.... Was super frustrating, cause we were at the hotel and they couldn’t find our reservation.... For that particular purpose, I got a TextMe app for my phone. Here is how it works: the app is using wifi /internet and works as VOIP. You can call any North American number from anywhere in the world as long as you have data/ wifi/ internet connection. You dial just like you are back home. Area code plus the local number. Works like the charm!

Yes, we did, but they got disconnected.. Hopefully won't be any problem once we get to the airport.

Back when we rented our cell phone from Sharon, she said to replace the "800" part of the number with "300". That changed the call from a free call to a pay call. It worked for me to call my credit card company. Not sure if it still works or not. John

I remember Sharon saying to replace the number somehow but can't remember what it was. Back home now, unfortunately

Can you use Skype If you are not on Wi-Fi? No Thought so. A few years ago I was sitting in mullet trying to change my flights due to a storm in the NorthEast. Couldn’t dial a single toll free number from my US phone or my UTS phone. Verizon has always worked pretty good for me all over the island. Kept searching and found that toll number for delta and called no issues. I wasn’t gonna give up a beach day!!

We use wifi calling on TMobile. It works as if you were still in the US. I think other carriers have wifi as well?
