Keep trying....
"POND ISLAND, St. Maarten – A man was arrested around noon today, Monday, on Soualiga Road in relation to the shooting death of a Canadian visitor earlier this month, 721 News has learned.
Police arrested the man in the vicinity of the scrap metal yard on Pond Island. They also confiscated a white Kia vehicle with license plate R-941.
Edited by Carol Hill-- BeachKitten--I just yelled at Scubaman twice today for posting stories in toto, so I removed a part of this post..

Great news. Hope they throw whatever book they have at him. At least the police are doing their jobs well. Never really hung around too much on Pond Island, and I sure don't intend to in the future.

Interesting, the police are not confirming (or denying) that there was an arrest made. Link

While I admit it is odd that they haven't confirmed the arrest, I find it even more odd that they haven't DENIED it.

721 is our National Enquirer. Not to be trusted. Our fake news outlet.

721 is our National Enquirer. Not to be trusted. Our fake news outlet. Oh! Totally did not know that. Thanks for the heads up. My friend on island posts from 721 occasionally, such as last weekend when the jet ski crashed in the lagoon and the Coast Guard had helicopters searching. She actually saw the body being recovered, and it was also in 721.

We have pictures of the recovery taking place although we thought it was military training at the time. They are not posted.
There are a couple of more trustworthy sites, like the Daily Herald, SXM Talks, the police page. I usually make sure I read it twice from different sources before I give it any credit. So much crap being posted everywhere these days.
Ultimately we lost 5 souls in about a 24 hour period. Terribly sad.

Have they found that third Anguilla fisherman? So much happened within a few days last week. Yes, it is sad.

That's a shame. I wonder who has put the reward money up?
And this...."“The Sint Maarten Police Force would also like to take this opportunity to thank those individuals who have provided the detectives with information thus far in the investigation. With the help of these individuals the police department was able to gather information that gave us headway in this ongoing investigation,” police said on Thursday."...........
Headway? If there was headway why post a reward?
