Has it been rebuilt? Been going there for years. Hope Pedro himself is doing well.

Nope ... at least as of March there was nothing there but an abandoned shack. However, the steps leading down to the beach were still there. I've heard he's rebuilding, but not in the same location. More along the string of beach bars and restaurants that have re-opened or are in the construction phase. There's was just something about Pedro's that was special. Heading over there on a hot day and getting a cold beer was something I loved to do, and even though it was the same beer as the other places it just seemed colder and tasted better. There are certain things associated with Orient Beach that should remain forever and Pedro's is one of them. The others would be the large "Plage Naturiste" signs that everybody at one time or another poses in front of, and of course the clothing optional beach.

I have read here on TTOL that Pedro is going to build in one of the carbets on Orient. I assume, without knowing, that information is correct. As of now, there is no clarity as far as what is going to happen with the Club O property, two years out from Irma, so I don't blame him for not wanting to rebuild on Club O property.

I really don't know anything about Pedro himself.
