Anyone have an opinion on this place? It seems like reviews are very mixed, like they don't have any real control or standards from one unit to the next. The one I am looking at (#10) seems to be the best, but they are still kind of bragging that it was updated in 2004/2005. That was nearly 10 years ago. I'd like to get a more recent opinion. Thanks,

I have not personally stayed there, but what I understand is that it is what it is. A budget accomodation.

I wasn't going to respond since it has been quite a while since I stayed there. I think I stayed in #3 and it was very small but clean, I did tour the complex and was able to go inside several other units, I would say that #10 would be my choice if I were to stay there again. It was larger and was in a better location with better views than the others. But as the previous poster said it is a budget accomodation. I would not hesitate to stay there again if thats what I was looking for. It is a short walk to town but it is down a very steep hill, I only walked it 2 times and then rented a car.

hhmmm...I guess I am still getting used to STJ economics. I didn't think $200 a day counted as "budget accomodations" Is there somewhere better you could suggest? This is for our 25th anniversary, so I don't want to be i a disappointing place. I haven;t yet sent in the deposit, but I need to do it in the next day or two. Thanks.

I feel your pain. On St John within walking distance of town $200 a night for a condo is inexpensive. You could probably go to Coral bay and get something larger for the same amount. We started going to the BVI, Virgin Gorda and I think we do better there and we like it better also, not as crowded. We rent a whole house with a pool for right around that same amount.

we're ok if it isn't 5 stars, we know the score on STJ. We just want it to be clean, safe and be what it advertises to be. I would be bummed if we show up and it isn't like the pictures where everything looks nice, the pool is clean, etc

We've stayed there many times and in various units. Always been happy with the units...some more than others but never had a disaster. Love the small complex and nice to come home after a day of beach adventures to hang at/in the pool with some wine....before getting ready for dinner in town...nice walk in....can always cab back if the hill is too much. IMO well maintained...

We stayed there about ten years ago and really enjoyed it! There were two ladies and a young man staying in the unit next to ours, from Dallas if I recall, who were totally rude and not the least bit friendly. Apparently they were that way with the groundskeeper, Sunny?, who after the three dicks left said to us that "maybe I should take the dead iguana out of the cistern for their unit"
