Here it is translated.
FOR THE MOMENT THE CONCENTRATION OF FINE PARTICLES DOES NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDATION THRESHOLD IN SAINT-MARTIN.
"A big episode of sand haze will be observed all this week" announced Météo France Antilles Guyane yesterday, Monday 17 June. As we can see on the satellite photo this episode concerns the entire Caribbean, St. Martin included.

"A worsening is expected Thursday with a higher concentration of particles in the atmosphere. The air will be very dry and very foggy and will greatly limit the frequency of possible showers," continued Météo France.

Gwad'air, approved association for monitoring air quality in Guadeloupe, triggered the Orange level for the entire archipelago yesterday and today in agreement with the prefecture of Guadeloupe. "'The levels of fine particles are high and today exceed the threshold of information and recommendation set at 50 micrograms per cubic meter, for the protection of human health," she said Monday, June 17.

On the other hand, the measurements made yesterday in Saint-Martin by the mobile station of Gwad'air indicate rates lower than those of Guadeloupe. The concentration of fine particles does not exceed the recommendation threshold and the Orange level is therefore not triggered.

For now Saint-Martin is concerned by this episode of sand haze, but less than the archipelago of Guadeloupe. It remains to watch how rates change during the week.

Sahara dust is part of our lives frequently. Get out the eye wash.

I have been there when it blows through. It can be quite thick at times. Was also there when Matsarate (sp) blew. Ash was everywhere and airport was closed.

They say that all the time. Just like the dump mess. Stay inside and close your windows.

Elaine, respectfully... are you at the end of your rope with living there? Will you be leaving, as perhaps you've decided it's not your end-of-days location that you wanted to be?

Truth bother you? Happy to exit if it does. Have no plans to leave. I don't know anyone who lives here who is not more than fed up with the environmental damage going on. And the stupid warnings they put out.

Agreed, but generally happens in June..now if it continues well into July and spreads into the gulf areas, its excellent news for us Floridians. Been through 2 direct hits in our time and do not want to see a third.

Bran, I just realized we’re neighbors! I’m in Naples. Yup, been through my fair share of hurricanes in the almost 40 years that I’ve been here, and they’re never fun...

Going back to the original topic, yes there was a marked increase in the haze on Thursday. It was pretty hazy the whole time we were there though.
