Peter Island was never a good fit for the Willy T. Glad it will move back to Norman Island and give sailors a great choice of places to eat, drink and party once again. Thanks Willy T!!!

Sounds like the infamous Dr. Jarecki was losing his shirt at his overpriced restaurants without the lure of the Willy T in the Bight.

I like this for 2 reasons, 1) we'll love going back to Willy T at Norman and 2) it will ease the traffic at Great Harbour.

Cool. I think the Bight is a better place.
Since our trip is in late June, anybody know if they will be shut down to move? Hoping to make a night of it at the Willy T June 24...

We just returned from sailing the BVI for two weeks....we spent our first and last night partying on the Willy T, and it was in Great Harbor, Peter Island. No one mentioned the Willy T moving back to Norman Island and the Bight.
Actually, we would prefer to have them back at the Bight, with the ease of snorkeling the Caves, and the Indians, in such close proximity. PLus give us all another place to eat and drink ashore besides only having Pirates.
We heard zero mention of the Willy T moving back, and that was sailing from May 15 to May 29,
We did cruise by the shore line at the bight and witnessed the sad remains of the broken bones of the old Willy T washed up on shore.

The official announcement was posted by the Willy T FB group yesterday: The Official William Thornton (Willy T) Fan Club Yesterday (Friday, June 7, 2019) at 4:45 AM · Hi all..... thanks to our new Government we’re heading back to Norman Island! We’ll keep you posted on exactly when! See you there. Maybe that is why you didn't hear about it back in May, just sayin'

Steve is right. Everyone here right now says it's going back to the bight

Now we have a reason to go back to the Bight on our bareboat next year. We were going to skip it. We're not fans of the new fancy Pirates.

Just curious if the mooring field at Great Harbour, Peter island would remain with the same amount of balls after Willy T moves? What happens in this case? Seems like it’d be a bit more empty there after the move. Or were most of those balls there pre-Irma & Willy T anyway?

I could be wrong but its my belief that Oceans 7 add several more balls after the Willie T arrived.
If I am correct, it’s up to them to decide.
Unless demand improves, I bet they are ultimately removed.
