We are heading down this week and look forward to some fun and relaxing! The last trip down we rented a safari truck for the day and explored all the way down to the Baths. This time we (8 adults) just want to go up to Hog Heaven. Is it better to still rent a vehicle or can we taxi up? If we taxi, what can we expect to be charged. I would rather leave the driving to someone else, so we can have some drinks! Thanks in advance!

I am chartering with a group of 7, and planning on spending a day with my crew of newbies exploring VG. Thoughts on renting a big vehicle vs taxis? We will be planning a group trip to the Baths, as well as dinner one evening at Hog Heaven.
If renting, safari truck vs minivan?

Rent a safari truck! We absolutely love this way of exploring Virgin Gorda and The Baths.

Ok.
Since just a round trip to Hog Heaven will be $70 pus tip, I think a rental is the way to go.
Safari truck has great fun factor.
Really a no brainer, right?

Just remember one thing, especially when pulling out of a parking lot on an empty road - Drive Left!

I have to agree when ever possible rent a vehicle. Usually costs less in the long run and you get the whole island. Spend the day with the rental you wont regret it.

Hire a safari truck taxi....let them drive! We had one (Tiger?) drive our group around on a booze cruise so to speak. Had a blast!

Oh that sounds good Kirk! How would I set that up for our group of 7 in June?

Oh that sounds good Kirk! How would I set that up for our group of 7 in June? You could ask the guys at the dock when you arrive for help. We just went out back and asked the guys who were there who wanted to drive us. As I recall it was much more reasonable than we expected, which we more than made up for in tips.

Try texting Keon. 284-544-0689 I suspect if he doesn't have one, he can point you in the right direction. He is taking us from Leverick to the Baths and back this June. Very reasonable.
I'd like to be a jelly fish, cause jelly fish don't pay rent.
