Yes, saw that. I thought it was an odd story, so few details.

Possibly. Poor choices often have even worse consequences.

I guess I got that from where the people in the truck said they didn't see the motorcycle at all, just a flash when they hit them. Perhaps I also inferred that, from the fact that they were apparently running from the cops when it happened.

Makes sense that if fleeing, no lights but most larger bikes have the lights on all the time unless that safe guard is disabled.

OK, you would obviously know that a lot better than I do, as I know next to nothing about bikes. Regardless another young man dead, in such a short period of time.

Been coming to Island since the late 80s, and have encountered alot of motorcycles on the road. We often wondered how they survived. Most weave at high speeds in and out of traffic, not just risky for them, but easily cause and driver on road to get hurt, or hit them... Untill this is stopped by enforcement, nothing will change. Not only are they at risk but anyone driving... Very sad..

There was another updated story in the full version of the DH today. One new thing it said is that apparently the motorcycle was in the wrong lane, so it was virtually a head on collision. Not sure whether the motorcycle had lights on or not, but the vehicles were coming around a corner in opposite directions, so maybe that's why they didn't see each other.
