I think I got it entered for you. Not many use the calendar anymore so it took me a bit to figure it out again myself. Check it out and see if it is what you want.

Sorry, I'm useless with the calendar. That has always kind of been JD's 'job' here. As always, a thankless job, with pay to match!! grin Maybe you could type some basic instructions up, JD??

Then I would be more confused!

Not sure if posters see the same screen and options I do. but I will give it a shot.

Once you are on the calendar, find the time period you want. On the top line, above the month but below the current date there should be a "+" sign. Click on that and a small window should open. Enter your desired text in the "Title" area. Your color choices are located just below that in the "Category" field. Then scroll down to the "start" and "end" fields and enters your desired dates. You chould then be able to click on "Add" and the entry SHOULD appear.

If this does not work, the poster can private message me or post on the board and I will attempt to make the entry.

Pay raise??

You are welcome and my pleasure to help out.

Hopefully a poster or two will try to post on the calendar with the instructions I posted so we can see if it works like I hope it should.

Well, I tried. There was no plus sign on my screen. I thought perhaps I needed to register separately for the calendar? I tried that and it wouldn't accept my TTOL password. I am stumped.

Eric says that you have to register SEPARATELY for the calendar.

I guess you do have to register for the calendar per Carol. I saw the + sign once I logged in but I may still see a different screen as a moderator/helper.

I sent a register request and it said my password would be emailed to me. Not yet received.

I tried it too and when I tried to register for the calendar it would not accept my user name and password. This is not user friendly. I have been using the options area and it will not let you use text, but does have the category area for colors. If it is this difficult, it is not worth using!

You can always pm me your info and I will get it up. I do not know the inner workings of the registration process but I know others have been able to enter their information. Let me know if you want any dates entered. Thanks.

Thanks JD. I will think about it. I might just skip the calendar as most of my friends know my travel dates anyway. Entering all the info for people is too much extra work for you. I appreciate the kind offer.

No problem at all. Did 2 of them today and I actually need to keep up on it more as I had kind of forgotten how it worked. I would be glad to enter dates for you or any other TTOL member who would like them entered. Old minds need to stay sharp!
Thanks.
