I asked these guys to send me a picture of their menu, since I couldn't find one online. They sent this to me just now. I thought others might be interested, as they are one of the few restaurants open on the water in Grand Case now. Rosemary (Rondon) recommended this place to us. Perhaps we will have time to get there in June. They say that they are open for lunch, then closed from 3 until 5:30 PM, except for Sunday, when they remain open all afternoon. Closed Monday. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.traveltalkonline.com/gallery/40/full/3119.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.traveltalkonline.com/gallery/40/full/3120.jpg)

Duck looks interesting. Surprised there isn't a burger for a beach side lunch.

Don't know whether that's a regular menu or just happened to be today's menu or whatever. Of course I don't really consider a burger to be that 'french' anyway.

Since it's a chalkboard menu, their offerings probably change from day to day.

I'm down for the carpaccio and beef bourguignonne. Never sure on the raw food on island. I know I know most have never had a problem but who checks storage and refrigeration

We ate there twice, once for lunch, once for dinner and the menu on chalkboard was the same. One side is the first photo posted here. Other side is more substantial meals. Muriel said they have special menus for holidays.
We found it to be a wonderful place with a fantastic view for a somewhat reasonable price. For us, a place where we can have something other than a burger, not from a LOLO, and still enjoy sitting listening to the ocean and during daytime watch people dock at the pier, walk the beach. She said many beach restaurants in Nice are like this and her goal was to bring Nice to Grand Case. I can't say if that's true since I've never been to Nice. But I've heard"Nice is nice"!
When we were there for lunch some people came just to have drinks and stayed longer than we did. Others we noticed ordered many things from the Tapas menu. Others had the stew or spaghetti. We thought the stew was superb. We had a glass of wine with it then decided to stay a bit with a second glass and soak in the sights and sounds. Usually we order a full bottle with evening meal but this was lunch and we didn't think we'd drink more than a glass. I don't remember a wine list but that doesn't mean they don't have one.

TravelHat Beef bourguinone is NOT raw. It's like a stew.

Rosemary--where is this place exactly in Grand Case? Any landmarks we would recognize, that are close by?

It's diagonally across from the parking lot, beyond a clothing store, before the LOLOs. It's after the small bridge that's before street on left to Spiga. It used to be a seafood restaurant. Can't remember name something like Isle de Mer?
If you face the beach it's on main road left of end to Grand Case Beach Club.

That name doesn't ring a bell, but I know about where you're talking about.

I had their onion tart and it was more like a small pizza than a tart.

Thanks for posting this, Carol. We really loved our trip to Nice, Monaco etc. Can't wait to get to have some anchois and little fishes! I agree that the octopus sounds delicious. June can't come fast enough.

Don't know whether that's a regular menu or just happened to be today's menu or whatever. Of course I don't really consider a burger to be that 'french' anyway. That looks like the same lunch menu we saw in March. Food was very good. Owner explained food is not Parisiene French but from the Cote Azure, Nice (Neece). She said it was the beachfront foods people eat in that area of France.
