We will be on a 52Power Cat leaving Moorings/ Sunsail in Roadtown on 5May19....

projected Itinerary...Norman Island, Leverick Bay, Marina Cay, Cane Garden Bay and Jost Van Dyke....

we depart on 5May19... 2.5 weeks from now...!!!

would you suggest to travel in the itinerary outlined above.... Clockwise

...OR to go CounterClockwise with JVD being first

would the currents or wind be better one way or the other?[/color][color:#FF0000]

thanks....

also is there other mooring night site I should consider?

We will be there during the same timeframe. Double check the cruise ship schedule because I know the last time I checked there were a couple scheduled that Tuesday and Wednesday . That might have an impact on your CGB stop if you go counter clockwise. I don’t recall the cruise ship schedule links I’ve seen on here but a quick search should help you.

We've done both directions (sailing) and didn't notice a big difference. We're heading back this year and have not even thought about which direction, but we'll probably go counterclockwise only because of when we want to be at specific places.

In May, the winds are usually 11 to 20 out of the NE. and can be SE .

Bailau has a 52 ft, powercat as well.

We have sailed both clockwise, usually counter clockwise

Cruise ships in May......MAY 8, May 21 May 23. and Cane Garden will be swamped with cruise ship passengers.

this trip we plan on counter clock wise, but we are sailing, and enjoy the spirited sails up the Sir Francis Drake Channel .

Leaving road harbor... 1st afternoon and night......WILLY T......GREAT HARBOR Fairly short distance, 36 ft. sail. Getting there ASAP for a Mooring

Then, that great sail up to LEVERICK BAY, and a couple of days there. BBQ, band, dancing on Friday night.

And continue counter clockwise for the rest of the two weeks.

Erica and I will be on a 36 ft Jeanneau monohull........do not know the name for sure, until we get to the base .

I understand that you are PADI Certified and do a lot of diving in the BVI......excellent.

Erica is certifed , open water, advanced, up to rescued diver, and she coaxed me into getting my PADI open water a few years back
before we went to Australia. she wanted to us share diving the Great Barrier Reef and Coral sea as dive buddies.

Dive School was here in Socal and she also joined me for all of the classes and cert dives, since it had been a while since she was SCUBA diving.

Should you be headed that way in the future, highly recommend the Spirit of Freedom, 4 day live aboard, luxury dive boat.
Great crew, great boat, up to 4 to 5 dives a day......we kept it down to 3 . Other very neat fellow divers. Treated us to meals
after each dive. Also had a trust bar, for a cold after our last dive brew.

it was amazing, You might check out their website, their office is in Cairns .

May 6th- Leverick, The Baths
May 7th CGB,
May 8th JVD, Soggy Dollar, Corsairs
May 9th- Norman, the Bight.
May 10th- Tortola Wickhams Cay

But.....if the Cruise ship will be on May 8th.....and CGB & JVD will be swamped...:-{

what about....???

May4- Tortola Wickhams Cay
May 5th- Norman, the Bight
May 6th- JVD, Soggy Dollar, Corsairs
May 7th CGB,
May 8th Marina Cay or Cooper
May 9th- Leverick- , The Baths....
May 10th- Tortola Wickhams Cay

what should I consider or change now????? :-)

No. They start leaving at 1:30 and most are gone by 2:30.
