What is a good way to find seasonal (winter) apartment rentals? How much would a non first floor apartment in a safe area with parking and a pool cost? Not expecting to be able to get an oceanfront condo with a view but looking for an inexpensive but safe place to spend a few months during the winter. Could be French or Dutch Side. Where would these places be if they exists at all?

Long-term car rentals? Is it possible to lease a car for 3-6 months?

Hello Pirate ... what is your idea of inexpensive? You could try Airbnb and/or Vrbo, but for a really nice place during the winter months with a pool the average monthly rental will run about $2,500. Of course, this all depends on what you are looking for and where. A basic two person studio apartment with a pool in the Oyster Pond area could go as low as $1,200 a month, but it won't be on the water. In you are thinking more of the Orient Bay area, try Mont Vernon on Airbnb, but the rates here are likely to start at $2,000 or more per month. And, you have to be absolutely sure they are 'ready-to-go' and still not in need of repairs. That would be a huge risk to put a deposit on a place scheduled for repairs. Just my two cents.

As far as Mt Vernon is concerned, to my understanding, they have not begun work on the pool yet??

I would add, I’m looking for a place the locals/expats working on the island might be able to afford. For example if Mt Vernon were 900/wk x 4 = 3600, i’m Looking for something far less than that, 1-2000/month range? Again not a tourist spot, more a local/expat working location.

Tamarind Ridge apartments are being renovated and 12 apartments are empty. The apartments are very nice and rent is very affordable. Contact Marja Beentjes

While vacationers rent this place, he may be open to longer-term rentals. Try Mon Reve on the road to Friar's Bay. It has a swimming pool, and the owner also rents cars, although I think you can get better car deals elsewhere. While I haven't stayed there, it gets good marks and I understand is $400 per week.

Yes it is for sale as well but the tenants would be part of the transfer of ownership because it is an investment property.

You might also try the condo housing in Jordan Village, Cupecoy. Lots of medical students, but I believe some are available for private rental. On the border so easy access to both sides of the island.

Gus at Mon Reve has many renters for the winter. His rental cars are well looked after & I like that they don't have R on the licence plate for when you are parked.the apts have full kitchen. He lives there as well. He also has taxi.
