Delta has changed their flight schedules. I know two people who have November flights booked which have turned into overnights in Atlanta rather than same-day connections. Both have cancelled their DL flights, and one has re-booked on AA, the other on JB.

OK, thanks for the heads up! We would have checked our flights again, I'm sure, but our flights outbound from Atlanta in June have changed. Looks like they consolidated a couple of the flights from Atlanta to Orlando. It helped us, as we now have only three hours in Atlanta, versus over 4. Lost my seats in a sentimental row because of an equipment change, but not a huge deal. I did call them and have them link our reservations, as they were booked separately on frequent flyer miles. Thanks, Pat, for the info re the need to do that!

Like with any airline, one has to continueally check, especially when booking several months out. AA changed my flights for Nov, including the connecting airport and NO notification at all.
There is also a chance they will make more changes so one has to be vigilant in checking.

That's for sure, check double-check and triple-check! Less chance for a change if you have a non-stop flight, but regardless it always pays to keep checking, AND check your seats. Due to an equipment change, they changed our seats with this change, but somehow they had changed the seats I had booked on one of our flights before, even without any change in equipment or times.

Our AA flights change going and returning. But for the better going. Not so much retuning as now we have to overnight in MIA where before we got home same day.

Correct on the seats. When our flights were changed (along with equipement), they arbitrarily put us in the rear of the plane. Took a phone call to get that resolved.
I also found checking had another benefit as I was able to upgrade the CLT-SXM-CLT legs on my recent trip for the price of what just one of those legs were intially.

Currently holding two sets of AA SXM tickets - one purchased last July for this April and it hasn’t changed once, thank goodness - and the other one hasn’t either and I’m wishing it would since I booked in desperation to rid myself of the last of my AA miles but I’m not thrilled with the routing. Often when they change flights they are more accommodating and will waive some of their restrictions on changes but if not, I can deal with what Ive got since it was basically free but for the taxes.......

I knew I would probably catch hell for that! It's a big anniversary for us ( not THAT one!! I'm not that old!!!!!) and I booked the same row as our anniversary date.

Pat--AA is much more forgiving with making changes on frequent flyer tickets (so far!!!) but that is one thing that they don't let you change for no fee, is routing. That doesn't make sense to me, but when do airlines ever make sense??? Are we talking about the trip coming up SOON, or the one that's in the fall? If it's the first one, I think you're stuck with it, my lady!!

I’m talking about the Fall trip. April is set in stone at this point. I hope!!
Believe it or not, a couple of years ago AA cancelled a flight we were booked on. We had purchased FF Business tix on the n/s JFK flight to the island. They actually allowed me to change from JFK to LGA, (all the way in the same Business seats we had originally picked out) to MIA to SXM. No extra fees and no arguments. But that was a few years ago. They’ve changed considerably over the past few years.
Re the Fall trip, we have to connect and could choose either of two NY airports closer to us than JFK but my preference, while closer, was a lot more miles that I didn’t have. They’re both smaller regional airports and in the end we’re only adding about twenty more minutes to the drive home. No biggie.....
