We already have recycling for that for many months now, and not just Front Street businesses. For everyone who is not too lazy to do it.

Good to know. That include plastic, glass and cans or just cardboard?

That's great to hear. Didn't know they were doing that.

You have to bring it to the Meadowlands site across the street from Carrefour. We were in Pelican Key. Meadowlands website appears to show some pickup routes in the Middle Region area. It is single stream recycling so you just collect everything in a cardboard box and throw the whole thing in the dumpster.

That's good to hear more places using them.

I've never experienced a paper straw that worked well in the long run. Thinking of it, I can't remember ever experiencing a plastic straw that I needed, other than in a frozen drink or a takeout drink, neither of which I do on SXM. I'll just pass on the straw.

A few paper straws and several little wood-like stirring sticks on the Dutch side but the one trip to Orient I saw much use of plastic, both straws and cups.

I remember where I got the straw. Rendezvous Bar and it was with a coffee ice cream frappe. Too thick for the straw and it didn't last to the end of the drink.

Many people are now carrying their own stainlesss steel straws which can be purchased at several different places off island.
