I’m guessing most here received the same email but for the benefit of those who did not, Jet Blue will be announcing their next set of flight dates tomorrow if booking a package or Sunday for the bare schedule of flights only. The new dates will run through January 8th.

Sounds interesting to see what they've lined up. Jet Blue is hard to beat, and is usually our first choice when flying in the states and the Caribbean. For people who fly or take a cruise from Ft. Lauderdale and plan (or get stuck) with an overnight there we discovered a great steakhouse that's almost within walking distance of the airport four years ago. It's called Tropical Acres Steakhouse on Griffin Road and it was outstanding. I can still remember the amazing cheesecake I had there for dessert on our last visit. So, rather than eating at the airport if time permits it is worth the effort to check this place out. Just an FYI. And, thanks Pat for the 'heads-up'.

Thanks Pat. So how long after that do you think they will open the next dates? Our next visit is 1/11-11/28 is why I'm asking.We are those midwesterners that can't get anywhere reasonably so I've been thinking now that Jet Blu is flying from FLL, perhaps it will be an option. We can get to FLL from Des Moines, we would still have to overnight, but then we have to no matter where we connect.

There is no rhyme or reason as to why and when they do their schedule releases. My best guess is six to eight weeks from now but that is purely a guess. Sorry I can’t be anymore helpful than that.

Edit to add, a year or two ago I tracked the time between their releases and what I found was it averaged anywhere from every six to ten weeks but there were a couple of times the span between them was four to five weeks. Go figger.........
