Significant difference between the work on Coco Beach vs La Playa

At Coco Beach Concrete already poured for some walls, rebar and forms in place for others Some heavy equipment there. . So, clearly a plan in place with permits to reconstruct the restaurant. Not sure who will be operating it, but it would be nice if Sophie was back. She did a nice job.

At La Playa, minor repairs underway to the interior bar itself (the rest is gone).

Just conjecture, but it looks like they might just be building enough of a bar to serve people on the beach.

Certainly La Playa hotel has the financial resources to rebuild La Playa since they are part of a company that has a hotel in Guadeloupe and one or more in Europe.

So, I wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t been able to get the necessary permits. That’s just a guess, but given what we’ve seen happen on Orient over the years, I wouldn’t be surprised at this at all.

Sad, because Bruno and Thomas had done a terrific job with La Playa

Seems like painfully slow progress considering how Bikini and KKO are allot bigger and doing a huge business.

Very sad, regarding LaPlaya. Luftman has mega-bucks on SXM, so I guess that's how he got permits and no one else.. I really had high hopes that we would be able to eat there in June.. The other places on Orient don't seem like they are doing that great a job, to me, based on reports here. I really miss being able to dine at one of Bruno's places!! Man, I miss Dreams!!!
