Pre Luis - across from the Catholic church in Grand Case, and before they moved to the intersection leading to cul du sac?

The picture was POST Luis, I think. I don't think they ever opened back up at that location after Luis.

Doesn't post mean after. If they did not open back up at that location after Luis, the picture had to be pre luis, or was it abanodoned when the picture was take

Yes, the picture was taken after it was abandoned. That was all that was left after Luis.

I’ll smile because it happened. Where can you surf these days? My bf is an avid surfer so that kind of makes me one too...

We’re planning on trying that. I saw pics, and I think I’d prefer that over traditional surfboards. They look easier to control.

They moved to cul-de sac after the hurricane along with "Snake" and "Red Eye". Andy closed it and moved to Orient Bay which became Andy and Cheryls - all the "helpers were gone. Loved the free bloody marys on Sunday mornings when they were in Gran Case.

It was called " Baywatch " before it was renamed " Andy & Cheryl's "

Don’t know if the surf side south picture was pre or post Luis, but I do remember the little swimming pool in front of the restaurant in Cul de Sac. Not as nice as the one at the Paradise Restaurant in Maho. Loved that place!

Marge,

I think all who knew it totally loved the Paradise Cafe. My girls were still pretty young at that time and loved to sit in the ‘throne’ chairs. I always enjoyed the parrots on the porch who seemed to spend more time on top of their cage than in it, along with the waiters who seemed the happiest bunch of waiters on the island. Some nights, probably when the owner/manager wasn’t there (?) they would get so into their music and literally dance your meals to the table. Ah, for the good old days......

Respectfully,

pat
