It’s been a few years since we went to Cupecoy so l’m just wondering about the parking situation. Where can you safely park and how do you get there?

There's a sign for Dany's beach bar, and he has parking right there.

There are two places to park. Free parking along side the remaining Ocean Club building, then walk to the beach. Or go down a bit further past the Blue Mall and just before you get to Shore Point there is a break in the wall with signs to Dany's Beach Bar. He charges $5 for parking as he has leased the rights from the owner and has to recoup that cost with the fee.

Is that smooth Beach? We pd $20 to rent 2 chairs & umbrella but chairs are on big rocks & you couldn't swim there & didn't see bathroom facilities? Just the other side of French border from Marigot. Is there a nicer cupecoy beach we didn't see? It's beautiful area.

I find the water there to be way to rough to enjoy an afternoon there. Even an experienced swimmer would be fighting the huge waves. We do tend to check it out. Each time we pass on staying there. Without bathrooms, i would have to pass.

Has the sand returned to the beach? It was gone the last time we were there.

The sand at Cupecoy comes and goes almost daily. Sometimes there are rock pools and sometimes sandy beach. There are three or four different small beaches there sometime sand at all, or one or two or all of them. There is no bathroom facility. Dany's mantra is smooth, so do not doubt there isn't a sign that says smooth. Ask his how he's doing, that's his answer.

I’m here now, just came back from the beach. Lots of sand and beautiful water. It did rain today on us twice thou, but it didn’t last. It looks like Danny raised his prices for chairs and umbrellas to $20.00 but you can always bring your own. His operation is now expanded - he has built a bar, a kitchen and a few benches to sit on. There are quite a few folks hanging aro7nd his bar.

Lucky he's on the Dutch side to be able to expand this.

You can also park on the road and walk thru the destroyed Ocean Club. There are stairs to the beach between the second and third condo's (starting from the right) For the last two months there has been a ton of sand. The beach runs from Sapphire to 50 yards past Ocean Club or about 250 yards.

He grills ribs and chicken. On Sundays he can get lobster and snapper, but you need to preorder.

No, have not seen a Beach Bush Boy there in many years. Dany has built up his location a bit but it is still very "Beach Bar" and simple but a nice place to hang out especially around sunset.

I prefer the Isle seat

Wendy, in May and again in November, Dany couldn't get lobster. Is he able to get it now?

We stopped there hoping to make a day of it over New Years. We ended up only staying about 2 hours. We wanted to be AN and since no else was there he gave us chairs nearby the bar. He has a good setup and we wanted the ribs, but we didnt stay until lunch for two reasons beyond his control: 1) the sand was shelly and we were constantly picking and peeling it off our skin like Shell abeach in St barts and 2) there was absolutely no wind that day making it intolerably hot even under an umbrella. So, we redeployed to always sandy and cool Orient.

I will ask him today. Georgia. Can't say I've seen anyone eating it recently, but certainly have since i've been here on occasion.

He says he should be able to get it for this weekend. Might depend upon the condition of the seas?
