Barbados. I have posted the following for the southern Caribbean forum but wanted to see if anybody on this forum had any information as well.

Sandals royale Barbados. Has anybody stayed here? I was just advised he cannot smoke except in designated areas. Can anybody expand on this? And that you’re not allowed to smoke on your balcony outside. Also read you could not bring cigarettes into the country without paying a duty. Any answers will be appreciated we are flying there on 18 February

No personal knowledge but I did find the link below that addresses smoking in Barbados and also a question was asked about bringing cigarettes into Barbados. It was stated Duty had to be paid if brought in. Perhaps your found the same source I did?

Another link that appears to be the formal law as written.

try Crystal Cove Resort. It's a small resort with only two restaurants, but the menu changed everyday & the food was excellent. You could also exchange with another Elegant resort.

Since it was stated they are leaving on Feb. 18, I doubt changing resorts is a viable option.
