We have made these before, they are really cool looking. Called Santa Hat Brownies. They are simple to make. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.thatcutesite.com/uploads/2011/12/santa_hat_strawberry_brownies.jpg)

Sift or whisk together flour, baking soda and salt; add this mixture to creamed mixture and stir until well blended. mix in chopped nuts, if desired. 5. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. 6. Place balls on cookie sheets about 2 inches apart and flatten slightly. 7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes; remove and let cool on a wire rack.
NOTE: for a thicker, plumper cookie, refrigerate dough for about ˝ hour before cooking… for a flat cookie, use ingredients at room temperature…

I have made these in the past and they are always popular. They are usually all eaten quickly which is a good thing as they don't keep long after decorated.

Not sure this is really a Christmas dessert recipe, but I made this Crockpot chocolate lava cake yesterday and everyone loved it! It is super simple and sinfully rich! It would be great also for a football party or casual NYE party. We had some leftovers, and I'm not sure how good they will be though. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" />
