Foxys Taboo , Diamond Cay , Jost ...
Just reopened. Erica really liked it there. This was before Irma. We had drinks, as well as dinner walked over to bubbly pool, and enjoyed the peacefulness of the moorings.
Also now, in the same area, is Little Jost, and the B-line beach bar, also moorings, but you can dink from diamond key over to the B line . Great reviews on both Foxys Taboo 9 pre Irma, and Current reviews of the B Line.
Two great places, close proximity to each other, and both good fun and food .
We will be there the second half of may, hoping for NE winds, or light SE. If strong SE, the mooring field, well all of ther harbors and bays on Jost would be open to the seas if SE winds.

Love B-Line! A few years ago, shortly after they first opened, my crew drank them out of beer! Truly epic for the crew . . . not so much for the crew the next morning. Always a good stop.
The world is an oyster; now where did I leave my oyster knife...?

I was there on New Years Day. They are trying hard but not quite there. It is going to be more like BLine than the old Taboo from what I can see. Smaller footprint.

This photo was taken July 2018, as they started the rebuild. Sorry it is only the deck of the building......I was concentrating more on the view of Hideaway Villa off in the background. The building structure of the rebuild Taboo is larger than the deck area and to the right of the photo shown. The new dinghy dock was completed while we were there in July and looks fabulous. The footprint may be smaller, but we are super excited to have them back on the East End of the Island. They are a great neighbor!

Looking at Tripadvisor there seems to be a LOT of positive reviews of B-Line, especially recently. Recent reviews of Foxy's Taboo on the other hand are thin on the ground...and looking at older reviews there seems to be quite a lot of really negative ones.
Anyone with experience of both places able to give more intel / comparison?
We tried out Foxy's Taboo years and years ago (I feel like it maybe hadn't been there that long...) and didn't get on too well. We've not been back to Diamond Cay since. But quite keen to give it another try as an overnight stop later this year.
Also, does anyone know if the mooring balls have depth for a 48ft mono?

Our first experiences with Taboo were very positive starting about 12 years ago. But it was not so much in the last 5-6 years. We have been to B-Line for drinks and had a great time. We actually anchored there without a problem.
The last time we were at Diamond Cay we had a 7 ft draft and had no problem on a mooring. Although I can't speak for the two further back in the mooring field.

Thanks Marisol, great info.
I just messaged B-Line on Facebook to ask if they would do takeaway food in the evening (we quite enjoy evenings aboard and lunch ashore these days). They messaged back within 30 seconds! To say "Hi yes that won’t be a problem just let us know when you arrive that you would like dinner to take away."
...now thats pretty amazing customer service!
