Can anyone enlighten me re possibly two Unity Car Rentals? I have read a few posts stating that there are two different companies named Unity. I am looking for the email address or the proper phone number for Michael at Unity. Have rented from him in the past with good service and am wanting to do the same for our trip end of January. I sent an email but have had no response. Any suggestions....or at least can someone clarify the confusion of possibly two different companies under the same name. Thanks in advance for your help.

thank you, had not seen this email yet. Just so weird for him not to respond. I used the email address that was listed under Unity Car Rental in the TTOL sponsors. I will give the above email a try,. We arrive in sxm on Jan 26,,,cannot wait.

We've use him many years and if he doesn't respond within 24 hours send it again or check your spam folder. We saw him in May '18 and his house sustained pretty good damage from the storm. His cars are always reliable.

Michael actually just posted the difference on facebook. The Unity Car Rental run by Michael is dutch side based located near the Simpson Bay Bridge. His website is Unitycars.com. The Unity Car Rental run by Joseph is french side based and their website is Unitycarrental.com. Michael said Joseph has been taking his car rental people who booked through Michael, but were waiting to get picked up at the airport. He said its very important to make sure you ask for Michael from Unity Car Rental. Both of their websites still mention each other. I was under the impression they had a falling out and were now competing with each other, but I don't know the full details.

This is the reply I got from Michael when I confirmed my reservation yesterday. Three more sleeps before we fly out!!!

Thanks Todd.

I am not associated with The French Unity car
rental and Joseph anymore.
Also Dwayne does not represent Dutch side Unity car rental.
My ex parthner is trying to steal my clients.
Please do not get confused.
ASK for MICHAEL from Unity car rental that is located next to The BRIDGE on the Dutch side.

We will have a DUTCH UNITY car rental sign
C/O MICHAEL outside the right corner exit at the airport.
My new location is 4 min from the airport next to Mac Donald's and the police station by the bridge in Simpson Bay.

Looking forward to seeing you then!
Michael.

We have rented from Unity and Michael for all but our very first trip in 2001. Always good service and very responsive, fixed a flat while we were at the beach. Even when we were rear ended in Simpson Bay one night. Michael came out dealt with the other driver and brought us a car.

We have been renting from Michael for years. Always great service. He has split from his partner and is now located right behind the police department after you go over the causeway from the airport. Much better location and ibis new house is there which he is very proud of.

The wording on the other site certainly sounds like it's trying to be Michael. Will be booking the original soon. Thanks for all the info.

Unity is now Unity French side, Joseph and Unity Dutch side, Michael.
We have dealt with Michael for many years. We used him recently and were again pleased with his service.
They have decided to separate and I feel that both are good car rental companies.
Michael will soon operate under a new name that will eliminate any confusion.

Just a little be aware FYI on an experience I had. We have rented from Michael since our first trip probably 20 years ago. As usual this past January we rented for ourselves and also friends that were coming in the next week along with our kids. Unfortunately they had a plane issue and their arrival was delayed a day. They were to meet up with our kids arriving on a different flight so we made a last minute trip to the airport to get the kids but also to let Michael know about the delay.
It was so crowded but I finally saw a Unity sign with 3 guys around it, I asked if they were with Michael's Unity. The response was they were Unity, I kept asking Michael's Unity, I kept getting the response that they were Unity but their tone kept getting more rude. Clearly they weren't the friendly guys of Michael's that have always met us. Finally I walked away, found someone else to ask if they had seen Michael yet. They had and pointed to where he was at. I told Michael of our friends delay, I knew the time but not the airline (originally Spirit), he told me immediately what airline and he took care of meeting them the next day. We have never had any car issues but feel confident if we ever would, Michael would resolve it quickly.

We had a dead battery Thursday night & he replaced it Friday morning. If we needed the car Thursday night he would have been there. Always happy with our rental.

Seascape, the office is not over the causeway. It’s right before the bridge across from the police station. A big gray house with white trim. You can’t miss it.

very similar to our experience when we arrived. I saw the unity sign with these guys,,,I asked specifically if it was Michael and he said we are Unity. I said, well you are not Michael and walked away. Obviously trying to scoop Michaels business, just as I was warned.
Michael came and it was not a problem. Another great experience with Michael and the Dutch side Unity. Having his new name and company will solve this issue in the future.

We have always rented from Michael at Unity, and reserved a car from him for this trip. He had explained the situation with Joseph, so we were careful when we arrived yesterday to look specifically for Michael. He was watching for us, and waved us over, recognizing us, even though it has been 3 years. His sign said Unity, Michael.
