Hi all, thanks in advance. For those of you that have sailed the BVI lately, do you see many boat wrecks littering the shores on the islands from Irma?

Still quite a few in Trellis Bay, Soper’s, Nanny Cay, Manuel Reef. Can’t speak to Gorda, Jost or Anegada.

Saw what appears to be a steel vessel on the east end of Jost. And yes, a lot in Sopers during our visit in Nov.

The out islands appear to be pretty well cleaned off but Tortola is still a mess in many places. 6 or 8 still on the beach at Trellis. Couple of dozen still in Paraquita Bay, 12 to 15 tied up to the little mangrove island in SeaCow bay with more around the shoreline. A number still to be cleared in Sopers.

So what did fleets and owners do with the totaled boats? Scrapped, sunk? Where?
JPH I spent my money on booze, broads, and boats...the rest I wasted.

Boat wrecks pretty much everywhere. Old Willie T still sitting at Norman ashore. Some good deals to be had I bet!
