For Croissants, french bread, etc, we've been going to La Sucriere in Simpson Bay #130 Welfare Road. Between the Simpson Bay Yacht Club and Pineapple Petes. Great sandwiches to go as well.

For sit down, we second the St Maarten Yacht Club.

Besides those places that have been mentioned, try Top Carrot.

Yacht CLub, The Hideaway at LaVista or Le Sucriere.

I second all of JD's choices. Yacht Club and the HIdeaway for sit down, with great views, but very different from each other. Le Sucriere for takeaway croissants or quiche, or you can enjoy same on their back patio. At Le Sucriere, you can also pick up great desserts for that 'night in' at home at your unit.

We always make sure to visit Zee Best which is near Top Carrot and the pharmacy. Kind of tucked in the back. I think their eggs benedict is great. Plus they make quite strong coffee and have an assortment of pastries and croissants.

...just don't eat any of the pastries that they serve in the basket on the table, as they are recycled. The pastries in your basket could be leftover from someone else's basket that they put on the table, and other customers could have handled your pastries. Yuck!

I never returned there after seeing that happen. Not sure if it is still done that way but I do not care to find out.

A lot of people like Cafe Atlantico. Both sit down and takeout.

You're right Carol, we always said no thank you and they would take them off our table. Thank goodness I'm not much for pastries as it is very tempting.

We love Zee Best and go several times per trip. You can never have too many Eggs Benedict! Hubby likes the omelette's or Huevos Ranchero. I don't eat pastries, so have no issue.
The crepes are good too if you still have room.

Yacht Club is another great place for breakfast.

We've also just gone all the way to Orient and had breakfast in the village. Good Morning is a nice place to sit outside and eat.

A favorite of Jeff Berger. And, he does their website, what a coincidence.

What does that have to do with the quality of their food or service? Have you been there?

Vesna has been very good on the days where they offer the Greek food and the owner was in house, which I believe is Saturday now. Ate there other times when it was regular menu and the owner wasn’t there, it wasn’t extraordinary. Go when she’s there and you can enjoy good Greek food and service.

I'm curious, because I don't know, is there such a thing as Greek food for breakfast? Or do they serve American type food for breakfast at Vesna Taverna? I've actually never eaten there.

I had breakfast there once this last trip, eggs benedict as I recall, and was underwhelmed.

If you at Mary’s Boon stay there for breakfast. Jeanette in the kitchen make the best carrot pancakes , bacon , french toast, eggs or anything you want. All freshly made! Seaside dining!

We discovered Vesna's many years ago and it became one of out favorites. Both breakfast and dinner are great!
