We will be at Belair the first week in January. My fiancé has not been to SXM before and has never been on a sail boat or catamaran. What day sail would you recommend? Not Celine - boat is to big and luxurious. Looking for a catamaran or sail boat for a day trip around the island or to Pinel or Anguilla.

Not Celine - boat is to big and luxurious. And that's a bad thing? I guarantee that you would have a wonderful, relaxing, informative, delicious day on the water aboard Enigma (Celine 3)

I kind of didn't understand that statement either, but maybe they meant, too many people?

I think the OP is not interested in the appearance of luxury on the Enigma that pictures show and rather have a booze type atmosphere. Just my guess.

Since your staying at the Belair look into the sails that Aqua Mania have to Anguilla and around the island, Some depart from the Divi right next door. www.stmaarten-activities.com

Or possibly looking for a less expensive ride? Hard to say. I too am searching for a nice day ride around the island. Have only done sunset cruises, and a billy bear (?) speed boat ride to Pinel. It was fun, the waters were very rough, but the person driving the boat did an amazing job riding the waves, at fairly high speed. Everyone was quite comfortable but me (nervous nanny) lol. I find it's always nice to take newbies on some kind of adventure!

Sorry, but I do believe you are missing the mark on what the OP is looking for ....A SAIL BOAT. Correct me if I am wrong but Enigma does not have sails. turqwater, if you PM me I can provide you some options.

I'm not missing the mark and I didn't suggest the Enigma. Might want to re read my post. OP wants a Sail or a Cat as OP stated here. "Looking for a catamaran or sail boat for a day trip around the island or to Pinel or Anguilla." That is why I suggested the trips SAqua Mania offer. One Cat leaves from Divi, next to Belair, to Anguilla.

The reason I worded the post the way I did is that this sailboat or catamaran trip is to see if he will be comfortable on a small boat. Cost is not an issue. We don't drank alcohol at all so that is not the issue. Food is not a concern either. I just want him to experience being on a small watercraft. Someday I would like to take him on a sailing trip around Greece or Thailand or the BVIs. The last sailing trip I did in Greece was spent on a 8 passenger 47' sailboat. While Celine would be a fun thing to do and we may do that as well, I just wanted a smaller boat.

No1 SXM, Perfect for what your looking for. Maximum passengers that they take on board are 12. It’s not a party boat, just a relaxing sail.
