We have booked a round trip in June from FLL to SXM on JetBlue. Has anyone gone through customs there and if so can you describe if it is quick or not? I don't have any connecting flights, just a 3 hour drive to the west coast of Florida afterwards. Thanx.

It’s not that bad, Miami is far worse. Just be prepared to take any food, liquids or electronics out. The last times we were there we got pulled aside because of Nespresso capsules and also a compact DJ board. The line for regular security is usually between 10-25 minutes tops.

Agree on the Miami comment. FLL is fine especially if you don’t have to recheck on the domestic side.

We went through FLL in June and it was a breeze.

Thanx for the replies. I have the mobile app too so I am hoping we can be out within 30 minutes to start the Gilligan's Island 3 hour tour to Sarasota
