The Casino Royale in Maho opened last night. I was kind of surprised that they just opened. There were no signs or any kind of grand opening party or anything like that. BUT, it's good to see them open. We went last night and there were quite a few people there. Everything looked great inside. They're still working on the outside and upstairs, but it is open for gaming.

I guess last night was a soft opening. I had read here that it was supposed to be open last night. Good for the area, for them to finally be open.

It looked as if they were, but I didn't see anyone using it. The garage, 2nd level is now open and offering free parking, last night at least. We didn't know that until we got inside the casino. We parked at Maho Market, as they were closed, and walked up.

I saw my post above and didn't want to mis-lead anyone about the parking in Maho. While Saturday night the 2nd level of the garage in Maho was open and free, I was going to 3 Amigos yesterday to watch the Giants game and the garage was closed. I don't know anything about it, but maybe only at night for the casino? Or possibly just on Saturdays? Don't know.

Great to hear the Casino Royale is again open as Maho is coming back into play again. We were in SXM in July and saw a lot of work being done in that area as well and had several wonderful meals at La Rosa2 behind the Pharmacy in Maho and Moulin Foo. La Rosa2 has totally renovated the restaurant and it looks fantastic and Ricky and Yolanda are very excited form the coming season. They are extremely nice people and they have upgraded their food tremendously. Try it when you are there.
