We are going to be at Orient Beach in a few weeks? Can anyone tell me where to go for beach chair rentals and food/beverage service. We haven't been back since Irma hit and our normal place is not rebuilt as of yet.

Club Orient is renting chairs and there is food and drink at the Perch Lite. They have a portapotty situation in a trailer. Otherwise, the only place that I am certain that is open is Bikini, which has reopened with a beautiful restaurant, nice bathrooms and rents chairs and umbrellas. The new Bikini is miles better than the old one. I'm not certain, but I THINK they are renting chairs close to where Pedro's used to be also. As of now, as far as I know, Bikini and the Perch Lite are the only places serving food on the beach. By November Kontiki and Kakao are supposed to be open, but possibly you are going before then.

I don't think so. I haven't heard anything else about rebuilding any of the small carbets, as the Collectivite calls them. There was a story about a month ago, stating they were FINALLY going to put out bids for the rebuilding, a YEAR after Irma. The French side government's actions I think have been SHAMEFUL, post Irma...

We were there today. 2 chairs and umbrella were $18. The Perch Lite has 2 for 1 drinks at happy hour which was 1:30 to 2:30. Everything is beautiful if you look towards the water, and don’t look back at the ruins of Club O. We are here for two weeks. Looking for a fun time.

Bill and Elaine, if you make a day trip to Anguilla I'd love to meet you for a beverage or two.

Oh, how we miss Orient and the Perch Lite. It's only been since June, but we are greatly anticipating our return next month.
