Check your AA flights, folks. We had a flight to Belize in January which AA changed - no notice. And, we had tickets on the early morning flight to Miami from SXM in mid March and I discovered that flight has disappeared. They put us on a late afternoon flight out that lands in Miami 2 hours AFTER our connecting flight to Philly departs. Again, no notice.

Check your profile to make sure you have your email address on it for notifications. We always get notifications of changes via email from them and other airlines.

Don't mean to dispute you scubaman, but we had notifications set up and did not receive anything regarding our flight changes, either change.

I have had it both ways. Sometimes i've been notified and sometimes discovered it on my own.

Check your promotional section on your email. Sometimes gmail, if your using that, puts some of those there thinking they are promos. Other servers might be doing the same thing.

We've had problems in the past getting notifications from AA also, despite having notifications setup, along with their app. Very frustrating. Our least favorite airline to SXM, not that it matters.

Thank you, all. I'll check again and ask for assistance when I call about our now impossible itinerary but I thought I had every notification possible set up. It doesn't bother me that sometimes they have to change things. I understand that. But putting people on an impossible series of flights and not even letting us know makes me mildly crazy. Thanks for listening. Check your flights.

I trust no airline, as they are all inconsistent on their notifications, no matter how well I configure the notification options. I use the Tripit Pro app to supplement airline notifications. My frequent travel justifies the $49/yr cost to me, perhaps more so than it does to most others here.

Our outbound flights for our April trip were changed, but AA let us know and now we are flying through Charlotte instead of JFK which is fine with us. I guess you never know.

I just had to "fix" a change that AA emailed notification of. January 3 out of ORD through Philly to SXM, they delayed the first leg so that there was no time to transfer planes. How can they allow their computers to schedule a flight with ZERO time to get to the next gate? We now have to go to Philly the night before and get a room. At least AA customer service was considerate and cooperative.

They going to comp the room? No. How about the ORD-MIA-SXM route?
