It should be noted that Myetts has partnered with Pussers to blend menus and reopen in late November as a sort of amalgum. Pusserrs will also takeover the gift shop.

I wonder who the driving force was behind that? I can kind of understand if it was Pussers but don't if from from a Myetts.

These talks / negotiations have been going on for a while. I understood that Myetts/Val were keeping the gift shop and rooms and that Pusser's would take over the restaurant. IMHO its big shame but something I understand with all the family have been through capped off by Irma's visit.

The family has been running the business for a long time and I think the last 14 months made everyone realize how tired they were and were ready to move on. I think the Pier Park store has already transitioned to something different.

Official announcement is on BVI Traveller. I am saddened..Stanley's/Tony's gone. Quito's is a while away from opening and looks like it will be very different with the "Quito and Kim Marriott" behind it. The Elm slowly coming back..boy miss The Elmtones.Thank goodness for Patsy and "Rhymer's"...one last piece of the lovely old CGB. Personally I have never rated Pusser's cuisine and was underwhelmed by their shops. Val did a great job of bringing some very different stuff to "Olivia's Corner Store". It would be nice if the "Pusser's" folks would at least bring back Kapeye for happy hour..anyone listening????????

Which also begs the question of who will own Pussers long term. But I don’t criticize anyone for feeling they need a break. Running a business is hard enough, without all the post-Irma headaches. It’s hard for folks who only know the BVIs pre-Irma to imagine how much things have changed.
