As of now, Isaac looks to be headed south of SXM, but of course things could definitely change.

Good to see you here, Alain..

That is what all the forecasters are showing but it's still a long ways east of SXM and anything can happen. I just pray it avoids all lands in it's path.

So far, Isaac hopefully is going to pass south of SXM and will be weakening by then, apparently.

Watching all this with bated breath. We fly in on Saturday and although somewhat concerned about Isaac I'm now more worried that Florence may impact flights from Detroit to FLL to SXM. Crossing our fingers (and toes).

I personally wouldn't worry about a flight from Detroit to FLL, OTHER than possible flight delays just because of re-routed traffic. There should be no effect on FLL itself. Now, if I was connecting in Charlotte, I would be somewhat worried.

Right now, Isaac is still tracking well south of SXM, closest point of approach around 180 miles away. Isaac is a relatively small hurricane, so if the forecast track is accurate, hopefully Isaac shouldn't be a big threat to SXM.
