Wondering in anyone has an opinion on which service is best for data on an unlocked cell phone? Will be between both sides of the island...speed is most important factor- above cost

Our AT&T service is generally through Orange-F on the French side and digicell on the Dutch side, have never had any problems apart from spotty service as you cross the border and switch providers, streamed ESPN college football with no problems.

We have always used Chippie when on the island and will again this year. We spend most of our time on the French side.

I gave up on using Chippie in the Cupecoy area. We have Verizon at home, we do the 10.00 a day plan or 40 a month depending on how long we are there. So many places have Wi-Fi you can stay on airplane mode. Use WhatsApp on Wi-Fi for calling and making reservations.

Same here as far as Verizon plan. Works well for our needs. YMMV. I gave up on using Chippie in the Cupecoy area.
