We are looking to return to SXM in March and in the past have always stayed at Club O. Any rentals agents that could be recommended- looking for a small villa or apartment close to Orient. Thanks

I was looking for Jim Ruos's Caribbean Islands Travel Service on the SXM sponsor page, but couldn't find it. He has an FB page - we have used Jim's service and would definitely recommend. He is very helpful, especially regarding the OB area.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Have rented through VRBO and home away with great success here

Look up So Chic Villas. Great people to work with and units are steps off the beach with pool access as well.

Caribbean Islands Travel Service is still in business, but as we have only represented Orient Bay hotels and villas for past 30 years, we have pulled back on advertising pending recovery from hurricane Irma. A few rental properties are now available and more will follow. In the interim, we are glad to provide information and arrange selective bookings. Jim .. 800-476-5849.

We used VRBO and were very happy with our choice. Great owners without any hassles. Walking to the village and OB. Lots of apartments to choose from. www.vrbo.comcarib cheers, doctorj

I don’t have much knowledge of Frenchside rentals or rental agents/rental companies, since we own timeshare and stay mostly on the Dutch side of the island, but one thing I will say as a long time member here, is that in all my years as a member and in all the thousands of posts I’ve read in those years, I can’t recall EVER reading anything negative about Mr. Ruos’ company or services to his clients, and that, to me, is astounding. And as an added reality, I wouldn’t know him if I was sitting right next to him, lest anyone think I’m plugging a friend. I’m sure there are other good rentals options, too, but the lack of negativity regarding this company speaks volumes to me.
