http://www.nude-clothing-optional-caribb...st-maarten.htmlAnybody ever been here or no of it? Is it new or a reincarnation?

I've never heard of it either, but on trip advisor they get great reviews, they date back to 2015 and have quite a few pictures to check out.

Lowest priced room - they have only 5 - is 145 Euros, in low season. That figures to $1119/wk at current exchange rate (1.06 = 1) plus room tax. A little high, but it does look quite upscale.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Surprised. Not too many responses. Is it all new, or is it an established place that was renamed?

When we were there in February, someone we know who usually stays at Club O stayed there. She stated that they would be returning to Club O in 2018. I don't recall any particulars Maybe she'll see this and reply.

As far as I know, there are 5 clothing optional resorts in St. Martin: Club Orient, Club Fantistico, Naturist's Getaway, Adam et Eve, and Jardin d'O. We always spend a week each at the 1st 2, and a trip to the island wouldn't be the same if we didn't. Now, if someone would sponsor us, we'd be glad to stay 5 weeks and give detailed trip reports on the other 3.

I could have worded that better. I should have stated when we were on St. Martin.
We always stay at Club O. I made notes to do a trip report and I will try to do that. Probably pretty boring, mostly had beach days.

Do you know if they sustained damage and if so are they back to pre-Irma or something different.

I really appreciate the info about resorts other than Club O and Fantastico; didn't know they existed and will probably try them out. The big drawback for us is that they are so small; they may be a wonderful experience but it will be totally different from Club O, where we have been going for at least 15 years. I'm sure you all know by now, but it is definite that Club O will remain closed, unless a totally new management company decides to take it on (this is from a direct letter to those still holding reservations from 2017).
If anyone has any suggestions about a Club O-type experience anywhere in the world, I would be so grateful to hear about it! I fear its type of magic is gone forever.

Club O as a resort is not closing, it's the management company that has run out of money with no resort to run. Once the issue with a few owners gets resolved and the insurance money paid, Club O should be rebuilt and then they will have to look for a new management company to run it, you may even see a lot of the old staff back, employed by the new company

Yeah, lets not add anu undo doom and gloom on a serious but recoverable situation on Club O. The owners still own the units.
We love Club O, but the 2017 and 2016 June visits we spent at Mt Vernon. We lost the total freedom from wakeup, dinner and after dinner, but gained a great experience “off campus”. In june 2017, we actually booked Friday and Saturday night midtrip at Club O leaving most of our stuff at Mt Vernon. The big loss was dinner at Papagayo. We had two great dinners there. You could still get the leftover pastries at Boutique as an early day arriver. You could probably hang out for dinner and we contemplated several times. But there is that lull where everybody departs the beach for the chalet and we just used that time to further enjoy the beach and fully sober up for the drive. We went back to MV and actually said for the dough it was our way to go. But we will certainly patronize any reopened Club O by staying there ASAP.
Not having assugned chairs is a big disadvantge.
So, what im getting at is any nice place you can find for now will give you the dyatime Club O which is the majority of our experience. You can be AN, and we were on our balcony at MV. Plus we enjoyed getting off campus more.
Since MV is open but damaged, we are going to commute from dutch side. Well see what new detours from Orient that deleivers us.
Time for all to do a daily positive vibe meditation facing SXM fro quick resolution
