Hey there, headed down this weekend with my daughter and based on everyone's reviews of the nature tour on Necker, I would LOVE to take my daughter to do it. She LOVES animals and I know this would be a highlight for her. We will be staying on St. John....does anyone have ideas/suggestions for getting to Necker to do this? thank you in advance!

Rather hard to arrange from St.John. Branson has granted Gumption's Nature Tours exclusive permission to conduct tours of Necker and even then only when the island is not occupied by paying guest. First you have to get from STJ to Virgin Gorda and right now you would have to go back to ST. Thomas to get a ferry over to Tortola and then Virgin Gorda. Might check the ferry schedule to Virgin Gorda against gumption's schedule and try to find a date that will work.

OP could also get a private day charter from STJ and connect with Gumption on Virgin Gorda for part of their day...

Is Necker even open for tours? It did not look good in June when we sailed by. G

Yes. Gumption has been posting a bunch of pics on Instagram of recent tours.
