Mark--I edited your post to more clearly indicate it is a trip report. I briefly looked at it. Looking forward to having more time to examine it further. Thanks for posting!

Hello,
Enjoyed your post immensely. I am heading to italy in a couple weeks and very much appreciate your web links. With regards to the Vatican Museum link and "skipping the lines", does that mean you get to skip the long line for tickets and you walk past those folks and into the museum, or do you still have to wait in the long line with your pre-purchased ticket?

I know it may be dumb question, but I paid alot of money on a cruise a few years to skip that long line and the price at vatican.va is mighty cheap........Just want to confirm before I push buy

Thanks for any help. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

Hi yes we just breezed past the lines and showed our on line tickets and we were straight in. I booked it for 1.30 pm which I was told was a good time to go and it appeared to be.
Not finished the blog yet hope to get a lot more done this long weekend in Antigua so keep checking back. Enjoy your trip we had a wonderful time.

Regards

Thanksfor the Vatican ticket website/advice ---- worked like a champ -- absolutely no wait to get in and the way to go. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

For others going --- try not to bring a bag or backpack to the Vatican -- they make you check it at the entrance and that means you can't escape thru the Sistine Chapel trap door into St Peters Basilica--a big timesaver ---- because you have to go back to the entrance to get your bag.
