Day 2 & 3 Report

Day 2
Started  with a fantastic sunrise from our pool deck with a nice cup of coffee for me and hot chocolate for the boys.  From there it was off to Mr Busby's to introduce the boys to Johnny Cake. Two eggs, ham and cheese for all.  Just like I remembered them, oh and the kids loved them as well. Back to the villa get coffee ready for my wife.

Once ready we headed out to show the boys around the island. We left Oyster Pond area and headed north through the French Quarter. We got as far as Orient and turned into the Palm Beach Resort.  We were seated at four chairs in the front row and made 12:30 lunch reservations. The waves were really big and probably bigger then I remember seeing. We enjoyed jumping in the waves with the kids for a while. Although it was fun to jump in the waves with the kids it was making me work up quite a thirst. Two Caribs please.  At this point we realized the 12:30 wasn't going to work for lunch and we changed it to 2:00. I took the boys for a walk along the beach to show them all the stores and restuarants.  This worked up quite a thirst and apron arriving back at Our chairs, two more Caribs please.  We ate at 2:00. I got the Blackened Grouper,  my wife got a Lobster dish, Hunter got a chicken club, and Evan surprisingly got a cheeseburger. All the food was great. We stayed at beach for a few more hours and departed.

We drove through Grand Case to show them the area.  We ended up at Friars Bay. We took a walk along the beach and stayed for an hour or so. We headed back to the villa for the night.

Day 3

The whole family was up early. We again enjoyed a beautiful sunrise on the pool deck. A lot of running around this morning trying to getting ready to go to Simpson Bay to check in for the Lambada Prickly Pear trip. Passports, check, sunscreen, check, towels, check, what else could we need. Let's go.

We arrived at 8:00 and checked in. Quick easy process. Thank you Capt Bob   Cass for setting this up for us. We truly appreciated all your help with information and suggestions.  At 9:00 we were off and sailing.  We passed by the big, I mean huge blue yacht. Too big to pass through the draw bridge. We slowed for a landing plane, the boys loved that. Then it was up the open sea, or at least that's how it felt. Not too bad but a little rough. The Presidente's and Rhum punch's started flowing. After a Presidente I convinced the family to move up front and try the trampoline. Evan and I went right to the front, Hunter followed a few minutes later. My wife started up the stairs and said forget about that I'm not going up there.  She eventually came up and stayed a few minutes. We were soaked, there was a lot of spray. We arrived at Prickly Pear got our snorkel equipment.  Evan and my wife went off the front of the boat. Hunter and I off the back. We snorkeled for about 45 minutes and saw lots of fish. Some saw sea turtles and squid, we weren't that lucky but we saw an abundance of fish. We swam to shore and had a great lunch. Grilled chicken for Timea and Evan, Hunter and I had the chicken and ribs combo plate.   We spent another hour or so on beach and them it was time to swim back to the Lambada. Once on board we started back. Sailing back was pretty smooth. The crew jumped back in and asked for 5 lady's to help hoist the sail. Timea jumped up front and got in the line. I think the sail went up faster with the 5 women than it did with the 5 men from earlier in the day. Once the sail was up we were under way.  I got a Presidente and collected the Rhum punch for Timea.  This was payment for hoisting the sail.  The crew was very fun and energetic. They kept everything flowing and made sure everyone was having a great time.  We talked to a lot of people and had some very interesting conversations.

Once back on land we headed over to the Sunset Bar and Grill.  We watched a few planes take off and land. We were too late for anything big but it was fun to watch and the kids enjoyed it. Food was good. Hunter and I got the bacon egg and cheeseburger. I have never had this and thought it was great. Timea got the steak filet and Evan once again surprisingly got the same as Hunter and I.

After dinner we headed back to the villa. We were all wiped out. Showers for everyone and off to bed I went.   I don't think the rest of the family was too far behind.   I guess we will find out pretty soon what day 4 has in store for us.

Talk to you all soon!
