Last night we went to La Rosa2 in Maho behind the Maho Pharmacy and had both great dinners and gracious and excellent service. The quality of the for was fantastic and delicious. The remodeling of the restaurant was done to perfection. Ricky and Yolanda (owners) greeted us warmly and made sure all was perfect. Please visit the restaurant as you will not be disappointed. badbenni-thanks for the photos and good news on progress in Maho. a while back the Daily Herald did a piece on progress at Casino Royale and a possible gambling floor reopening at the end of June. Any info on Casino Royale would be appreciated.

johnhill; the Casino Royale will in my opinion rebuilding and remodeling will be done by end of summer. They have full crews working on it as well as the whole Maho area hotels and shopping area. La Terrace seems to be less active with repairs though. I was told that 300 Chinese workmen were sent to get the projects done so the hotels can open sometime between late fall and early 2019. Things are getting done on the dutch side rapidly now.

That DH piece was way off. It looked a long way away as of when we left on June 25. My guess would be around November 1.

The pace has picked up markedly in the past 10 days. Seems like everyone is in high gear getting places ready for this winter season.

That would be a good thing!!!
