Finally, we're coming back to the island, trip #6 and this is for our 40th anniversary. Wasn't going to come this year until we found a reasonably decent airfare. We can't wait.
However, we are new to the Belair. Stayed next door at Divi years ago. I know it has a good reputation and usually a decent beach. I hear it is all suites, we're getting a two bedroom unit (and staying for two weeks this time. Amazing.)
Here are my questions:
Do all rooms face the ocean?
Is one particular floor better than another? (upper vs. lower?)
Are there any special rooms or requests that should be made?
Thanks to all!!
Mitch & Donna from Northern Michigan

All rooms face the ocean, yes, and I'm fairly sure all units are two bedrooms. The second bedroom is very small, so hopefully you are by yourself. (Which is as it should be, since you're on a big anniversary trip!) All units have balcony or patio. I personally would prefer to be a couple flights up, to get a better view. I don't know enough about the property to suggest a specific room. All rooms should be in good shape, as I believe all had to be refurbed after Irma. Enjoy your anniversary!

Your trip reports have been MORE than enough to encourage us to come back this year. We talked about a lot of possibilities, Grand Canyon, Erie Canal boat rental trip, we even discussed going to Italy (that might be next year) but when I saw airfare around $500pp, we looked at said 'Let's go!' almost simultaneously.
Someday we want to stay at BSV but much more expensive than two weeks of timeshare exchange.

We've been going to the Belair every year for a long time (30+years). Last year was the 1st that we missed. Yes all apartments face the water. We normally like to stay on 3rd or 4th floor. 2 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living room, small kitchen. Your beach lounges and chairs are assigned to you when you go to beach for the 1st time so you should not have to compete after that. Beach guys (Dominic, Vincent) will give you as many towels as you like at the beach shack. Restaurant has pretty good food. Happy hour every day. Pool is usually used by kids but is open to any guest. Belair is relatively small in comparison to the other resorts. Fairly quiet and secure (gated entrance). PM us if you have any specific questions. We will be returning there for 3 weeks on 12/29/18. Tom and Lisa

Owners since 1991, we're coming back to Belair the week prior to Labor Day, first trip down since Irma. Agree with information already posted in response to your questions. For more information and lots of current photos, join the Facebook site, Friends of Belair Beach.
