2 questions 1) I want to go from Anegada to White Bay on Guana Island. Is there any reason not to take the route to the northern side of Great Camanoe and Guana Island as opposed to taking the to route to the south side of Great Camanoe ?
PS I will be on a powercat
2) The plan is to go to Anegada for various reasons one of which is the lobster. If plans change and we don’t go to Anegada is there alternate restaurants that serve the same lobster and style.

The only thing that would limit you would be the seas. It is all pretty wide open seas till you are close to the island. As a fuel stand point the North is a more direct straight line. AS far as lobster..you can get Anegada Lobster anywhere in the BVIs. Have found it cheaper on other parts of the BVIs than in Anegada. To be honest its the same and cant tell the difference. I will never make the mistake of going there just for the lobster just for that reason. Lots of other reasons to make the trek.
Cruising the local waters here in SC and GA. Love the BVIs and miss the Tradewinds!

Shortest distance is straight to northern tip of Guana Island, then turn left. Add 0.4nm to go to northern tip of Great Camanoe then pass south of Guana Island at Monkey Pt. Add 2.0nm to pass between Great Camanoe and Scrub Island then pass south of Guana Island.
Unless you want to sightsee, I would take the direct route. The difference in course heading from Anegada between these options is insignificant.
Note that the White Bay, Guana Island anchorage is exposed to north swell that wraps around the headland. It can also get lumpy when the wind is up from E to SE and it accelerates around the hillsides.
