For those of us that have traveled through the new airport called Post Hurrican Irma Airport, we all know how it is! We left off some stuff, like parking and vendors, but please rip the photo and please add any nessary objects or words, and please repost! Soooo lets have some fun! Remember it is now PHIA!

You left out the Blue Bitch Bar! Clearly the most important part of PHIA!

Haven't been there yet for a departure. So what kind of food is in the departure lounge?

In May there were Sandwiches Hot and cold. Ice cream. Thought I saw pizza but not positive. Beer, wine and alcoholic drinks.

Bacchus was there in May, right next to the ice cream stand, but I don't think they had their normal gourmet items. I seem to recall a chip display, which seeem strange to me.

Saw them there but didn't spend much time looking for food or drinks as we had a meal and drinks coming on board.

Is the departure lounge or any other areas air conditioned? Don't do well in stuffy hot places.

It has a/c and fans going.

It was actually better than that hell gate downstairs at the old airport.

Neither do I. There is A/C in the departure terminal. I carry a small battery-operated personal handheld fan for situations like that. I do a lot of inter-island flights, and it comes in handy on small planes too. Several can be found on Amazon for under $15.

SXMFox--I took pictures of all the food places yesterday and what shops there were, so maybe you can make that a really complete diagram here in a day or two..

Regarding the a/c question, where the ticket counters are I thought was a little warm, but there is a/c and huge fans in the departure area. I plunked myself down close to one of the fans and I was very comfortable. There are a couple of charging stations in the departure area, there are bathrooms, but no water fountains. Of course there weren't any water fountains in recent years at Juliana either, which ticked me off, but that's just me. We were sitting the departure area in 25 minutes from when we pulled up outside the airport, including checking in and checking bags. AA was the only big plane leaving around when we did. There was a Jet Blue which left about an hour before AA and the departure area was kind of crowded until they left.

With no water fountains they can sell water at high prices. Very irritating to me too.

Yup, that's the rationale, I guess. I have never seen a US airport that does not have water fountains. I try to drink a lot of water, and I usually bring an empty water bottle to fill at the water fountain at the airport.

The airport in Las Vegas even has free refilling stations for water bottles. Nice touch.

Yes, we have seen those bottle filing stations at other airports, but did not see them at MIA. But plenty of water fountains, so do it the old way.
