The networks are there. New system completely. Not sure what I did to get them to so..... think maybe it was hd vs non hd. But I finally found the networks. They are out of New York and on numbers that are not the same at all. ; BSV had cable before, now it is dish satellite. More experimenting is required.

Ok, I need some people with Dish. It appears from the remote that it is a dish remote. So how do I get to the menu to change the default for only HD to both HD and non HD. That is the problem, the non HD channels are not showing.... The networks on this box are non HD..... maybe other stuff.
I have directtv and their remote so know that, so give some short cuts and I will change the defaults on this box. Once done than that...………….. probably will be good.
AND once I set the default it will be there for at least this unit.

Heck, we could never get the tv to work under the old system. Too many remotes and too little patience, plus the fact I didn’t want to ask Marilyn for a second explanation, but really, who needs tv in an environment like that?! Better things to do, for sure!! 😊😊

Eric I went on to their (DISH) website and it shows multiple remotes. Can you get to this website? If so that may help you to hide the SD channels like the Directv settings. https://www.mydish.com/support/products/hopper/how-to/set-preferences/guide If you cannot access that website tell me which model remote you're using and I'll look it up for you.

Not boring at all - whatever works! And Eric, aren’t you glad there are nice people like DDog who offer real help instead of smartalecks who just want to mess around?! 🤭🤭

We found where we were staying that the channels 2-4-6-8 had the US channels but in standard not HD. Took a while to figure it out but paid off. Some other channels came in HD but not many. This was on Dish.

Here, I don't really care whether it's standard or HD, but somehow the remote was originally programmed to show ONLY HD channels, and that's why we didn't see the regular network channels. Tonight we went to the casino and I think we should have stayed home and watched TV instead, based on the results!!!

Better things to do, for sure!! 😊😊 That is not a problem now. There is only one remote for the TV and Dish box. Will play with it some today and see what I can figure out about getting the non HD channels to show on the guide. Once that is set, then it will be easy to scroll thru the guide for whatever station you would be interested in.

We were too embarrassed to try and ask Emmanuel how to work the tv...lol...just turned it off! Yes when there was three separate remotes you had to use them in a particular order to get anywhere. But just one remote now so it is fairly easy, probably if I had Dish at home it would be super easy. Once I find the settings screen then it should be easy to fix the channel guide.

Found the menu to get both the HD and non HD channels to show on the channel guide. So everything is there now, and channels that are not part of the package that they have are showing now also. But they are all there now and the box is set to show all as the default.
