Yes, sad. Who knows why anyone would choose to end their own life. RIP.

Maybe 10 to 15 years ago he use to go to Mary's Boon often for breakfast with his then girlfriend and was a real pleasure to talk to and see. I loved his CNN show and other work. A real shock and will be missed by many.

He wrote Gone Bamboo many years ago. It takes place in the Dawn Beach area. It is a good beach read for those of you that can find it.

Don't like to speak bad about the dead but I always found him rude and crude.

I can always remember the newspaper clipping on the wall of Hilmas Windsor Castle (and how proud she was of it) about Anthony Bourdain's visit with her. You use to be able to find it on YouTube (it included the Freedom Fighters and a place in Grand Case) but I can't see it now but here is an article he wrote about the same time.

And I don't think Poulet d'Orleans was in Grand Case.
I might be wrong but...…

Then don’t. He just passed away for heavens sake. No point in criticizing him now. I loved his shows.

No Reservations is on Sunday 6/10/18 on the Travel Chanel, 7am - 7pm. In my area, the 8-9am segment is about the Caribbean.

This was a great segment and fun to see Tony and St Martin back then!!! What was amazing about Anthony Bourdain was that he was always his own character and never tried to be someone he was not - and did not ask anyone else to be either. He spent the last part of his life educating the world on how to travel with an open mind, experience world cultures and their cuisine and have a great time doing it. I was lucky enough to work with the man and to experience his wit, energy and knowledge. This is a great loss to his family, friends and the world!

So this is like many things for me where i havent seen much of him. I think ive watched a few pieces of episodes of Parts Unknown that came on after something else.

I now read his Wikipaedia and all your comments and the video clips of SXM and will probably binge watch channel his old travel stuff if i can find it and read his book.

I have watched alot of the Bizarre foods guy and perhaps now ill enjoy more Bourdain.

Who knows why. Hate to even comment or hear about it as like all things shows the possibility to others.

Sad. Id implore no one to do it, even when times are crappy. Not fair to yourself or others. Strap in and wait for the next sunrise. There are many simple things to enjoy and occupy your time and mind.

Again sorry for my comments. Not wanting to offend.

Been watching all the reruns today on the travel channel. Did watch the Caribbean episode but it was not SXM but St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Still was great to see but having a hard time seeing Bourdain without a tear falling. Such a loss and shame. Why?

Watching this again was great but not only felt bad for Anthony's family but made me miss Hilma. She was always my first stop on the island. Being back in February and seeing the remnants of her trailer, very sad.
Been years since able to eat Tony's food at Poulet D'Orleans but could taste his dishes as I watched the video.
